CFAO Equipment SA’s SHEQ policy expresses our commitment to ‘Zero Harm’ – including our people, the environment and the communities we operate in. Our daily safety behaviour and culture are underpinned by an understanding of ‘Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’. In conjunction with this, we have implemented and consistently maintained an integrated SHEQ management system to establish a defined operating approach. This has removed any duplication in processes and procedures, improved the efficiencies of our operating systems, and ensured the easy navigation of our electronic documents. We are ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) certified and adhere to the principles of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS) 18001. Furthermore, to ensure that we operate an efficient, lean and quality business, we have implemented Toyota Industrial Equipment’s After Service Evaluation Certificate (ASEC) and Toyota Lean Logistics Program (TLLP) programs, which focus on excellence in customer service delivery.

To deliver on our health and safety commitments, we have implemented a zero–harm health and safety framework, which aims to guide our operations and ensure that consistent safety culture and standards are maintained. Our SHEQ management system is well documented and outlines how to manage personal safety effectively within the various stages of our operations. We are committed to reducing risk as far as reasonably possible and achieve this by increasing and removing communication barriers by sharing our incident learnings. We see this as cultivating proactive awareness and safety education and regard these steps as critical elements in achieving and maintaining our zero-harm culture.
