Toyota Industrial Equipment a division of the EIE Group, has appointed GWK Mechanisation (“GWK”) in the Northern Cape, as the first agricultural business in South Africa to be a fully-fledged Toyota Forklift dealer for the Group.
The exclusive agreement covers the agricultural sector in the Northern Cape, including the Jan Kempdorp and the Hartswater areas. The Toyota Forklift industrial business conducted out of Kimberley and Upington, which will continue to be managed by the EIE Group, will provide GWK with full access to product knowledge and technical staff.
Implementation of the agreement will be phased in over the next few months and will involve comprehensive training of GWK’s technical and sales personnel to manage sales and maintenance of equipment, as well as parts at all service outlets.
The Toyota Forklift agreement will be managed by GWK’s Agri division, a business focused on providing farmers with 360º solutions.
“We are delighted to enter into this agreement with GWK whose customer-focused approach is a perfect fit with the commitment of the EIE Group and Toyota Forklift to building partnerships for life through product and service excellence, innovation and comprehensive aftermarket support,” says Shumani Tshifularo, Toyota Industrial Equipment’s Managing Director. “We are confident that this partnership with GWK Agri will prove highly beneficial for all stakeholders involved, including, most importantly, our customers.”
